As a public service, I would like to announce that a Jeep Liberty does NOT corner as well as a Subaru WRX. I can now state with utmost authority that a turn that a WRX can take can, in fact, cause a Jeep Liberty to flip upside down and end up looking like this:

Ang and I are both completely OK — we walked (well crawled) out of the wreck with, literally, one scratch each. I have a little one on my finger; she has a little one on her leg. In the end, I got a $90 ticket (Ang got a speeding ticket for $115 earlier that day… proof that I’m a better driver — not sure what Melanie had to spend on hers, but it’s fun assuming it was more than me), and we managed to find an almost identical Jeep the very next day.

update: Also, Angela and I got engaged.
update 2: Angela says her ticket was for $105, not $115. Still more than mine.
update 3: Angela found the fact that the engagement was a footnote less funny than I did. So she posted about it on her own, and made me put up a picture of the ring:
